There are many diseases that can negatively affect a tooth’s enamel, which is going to eventually lead to various levels of tooth discoloration. Treatments that include radiation or chemotherapy can also lead to additional discoloration in the teeth.
Reason #5 – taking certain medications
There are certain medications, like tetracycline, that are known to cause discoloration in the teeth of people consuming these antibiotics. Antihistamines can also cause the same effect as well as some mouthwashes that contain chlorhexidine.
